Ford Bronco Issues

The Ford Bronco reintroduced in 2021 after a 25-year hiatus, is a highly anticipated off-roader that promises an exceptional driving experience both on and off the road. Despite its advanced safety features, modern infotainment system, and numerous customization features, several reports indicate that the vehicle’s architecture has had problems. Here are some of the most common issues reported by Ford Bronco owners:

1. Transmission Issues

One of the most frequent issues reported by Ford Bronco owners is trouble with the transmission. The Bronco’s automatic transmission system has been plagued by troublesome shifting, fluid leaks, torque converter problems, transmission control module (TCM) failure, and transmission overheating. These problems manifest in ways like slipping, hesitating, or not engaging properly, and in severe cases, can cause the transmission to fail.

2. Fuel System Problems

Another problem reported by Ford Bronco owners is issues with the fuel system. Some owners have claimed that the vehicle has trouble starting or the engine stalls unexpectedly. Additionally, some drivers have indicated that the vehicle’s fuel tank is smaller, which results in frequent stops to refuel. However, the most common issue with the fuel system is the fuel gauge malfunction. Failure of this component results in the wrong indication of the amount of fuel available, leading to the vehicle running out of fuel unexpectedly.

3. Engine Trouble

Catastrophic engine breakdowns are a common problem for Bronco owners. An issue with the valve train was identified as the cause of the engine failure instances. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has already received nearly fifty reports and opened an independent investigation. Ford could be forced to issue a recall.

Other Issues

In addition to the above, Bronco owners have encountered issues including rattles and squeaking noises, corners breaking off, water leaks, panel gaps, rubbing against body panels, rough edges, and mismatched colors. Common problems with the 2023 Ford Bronco faced by owners also include whistling hood, speaker buzz, tire issues, backup camera issues, and soft-top roll bar scrapes.
